Detailed Team information

Marianne Andersen
ClubNydalens SK
Born date26.03.1980
Born placeDrammen
Info/BiographyIn 2006 she was pushing Simone for the victory in both middle and long, and two more medals came in Ukraina (bronze). Puts in the largest amount of hours training of all orienteering women, more than 900 hours a year! This is also more than almost all the men...Is very much a training product as well, she did not make the JWOC team as a junior. Still long distance is probably her best, but having worked with her running style she got her reward with a silver in the EOC-sprint 2006. Working part time after finishing her studies in Trondheim. Some injury-problems during 2006. Often trains before 7 in the morning and has learned herself finnish... An achilles-injury has restricted her running so far in 2008, and she missed EOC due to this injury. Came back at the WC middle in Norway, but then caught a cold and did not start the day after. Can she find her best shape in time for WOC? Selected to run middle, long and relay. www.marianne-andersen.com
