Was one of the best Norwegian orienteers in his youth, winning the youth championships when he was 15 and 16. Also on the JWOC-team for 1994 and 1995. Then spent many years on a national level before really starting to aim for the top positions in 2007. Very strong technically. Retired from international orienteering after the 2008 season.
