Info/Biography | Had her best orienteering season in 2001, which included a relay gold medal at home in Finland. Individual world champion in Ski-orienteering 1998 (long). Three times relay World Champion and she has also 3 silver and 3 bronze from ski-o WOC. Also competed for Finland in World Cup Cross country skiing. Did not qualify for Long final in Ukraine 2007, but will try again on the long distance in 2008- her only race. |

Info/Biography | Living in Halden since 2002-2007, moved to Göteborg ahead of 2008-season. Haldin has been one of the best runners of world- still only with the silver medal from EOC 2004 as individual reward. A strong relay-runner, with several victories in both Tiomila and Jukola for Halden. Comes from the swedish speaking part of Finland. Running sprint, long and relay at WOC 2008 on his search for the first individual WOC-medal. |

Info/Biography | Finally won an individual WOC-medal by taking third place in Japan, and got one step closer to the gold in Denmark with silver in the middle race. Has made all his best international results on Middle and relay. Lived in Halden since 2000-2006, before moving back to Finland and now running for Tampereen Pyrintö. Jarkko was a very important part of Haldens relay-successes. Many of Jarkko runs on "the long night" are legendary. Running only middle distance at WOC 2008. |

Heli Jukkola

Info/Biography | Heli Jukkola shared the gold medal with Minna Kauppi at WOC 2007 in Ukraine - and with another gold medal in the relay and a silver medal in the middle distance, she was one of three women dominating the WOC 2007 along with Kauppi and Simone Niggli. Very good technically. Her first individual victory came in the WC sprint final in France 2006. Winning the middle distance also at EOC 2008, but did not start at WC-event 5 due to an injury on her arm/shoulder. |

Minna Kauppi

Info/Biography | Former junior-star who is now more and more threatening the invincible Simone Niggli. A fast runner, who are constantly improving her technique as well. Took her first major title is winning EOC last year- and then steered Finland to the relay gold in WOC 2006. Individually her best races has been on middle distance, but came second to Simone Niggli on the long distance in Sweden this year- a race Minna should have won if she had chosen the right lane to the finish. Brought her club Asikkalan Raikas to a victory in this year\'s Venla-relay. Got her first individual WOC-gold on the long distance in 2007, shared with Heli Jukkola.Running all races at WOC 2008. |
