One of the top sprinters until 2010, consistently finishing top 10 in the championships. Took a break from orienteering after the 2011 season, and suddenly reappeared at the national orienteering scene again in spring 2015 - running as fast as ever. Did not have any plans for competing at the World Championships in Scotland in 2015 at the start of the season, but good results in the spring season made Egseth change her mind.
