Info/Biography[Info not updated in 2012]
Had a fantastic 2011 season - culiminating in a World Championships title on the long distance in very technical terrain in France. Earlier in the season Billstam won the overall Nordic Orienteering Tour. Got her big international breakthrough with the bronze medal at the World Champs in Czech Republic in 2008. Struggled more in 2009, but back in the top with a second spot overall in the first edition of the Nordic Orienteering Tour in 2010. Nominated for the Orienteering Achievement of the year in 2008 for her breakthrough in 2008 with her first medal in the World Champs with Bronze medal on the Long distance. Had a big disappointment in Venla 2007 when she was leading on the last leg for OK Linné, only to be taken off the course because the team was disqualified on an earlier leg. Started orienteering in Järfälla OK. Educated as a phyisotherapist

Big Swedish orienteering star who is popular and well-known also among non-orienteers. Had her big breakthrough as a senior with two gold medals at NOC 2007, and a relay silver in WOC 2007. Took the bronze medal at the sprint in Olomouc in Czech Republic in 2008, and continued all the way up to the top of the ladder with gold medal at WOC sprint in 2009. From then on Jansson has been one of the most successful female orienteers. She missed the gold medal in the World Championships in 2010, but came back on top in 2011 with gold in middle, silver in sprint and bronze in long and relay. Junior-star with six medals from 4 JWOC-years. Missed out on the individual medals in her last year as a junior, but took the step to senior class in impressive fashion being 8th and 11th at EOC 2006. Impressive orienteering technique, constantly improving her running with a tough training regime made by her coach Harri Viinimäki. Nominated for the Orienteering Achievement of the year in 2009 for her first World Championships’ gold medal at the sprint in Hungary after a great performance. Also: For doing something that no other elite runner has ever done before - winning all 5 days of O-Ringen. And winning the gold at the Nordic Championships and the opening stage of the World Cup. Nominated for the Orienteering Achievement of the year in 2008 for her WOC Breakthrough in 2008 with her first individual WOC-medal: Sprint Bronze. Also decided EOC Relay for Sweden.
