Educated Chand.Pharm and works part time as a researcher. Leader of the athlethes comiteé in the Norwegian Olympic comiteé and a Right to play-ambassador. Had her best season so far in 2008, dominating the World Cup and winning by a clear margin. Also taking her first WOC-gold on the sprint in Olomouc. She managed 2008-season without injuries, but has had troublesome knee in 2009-season. First during the winter, and then hit her knee again in June, requiring several stitches and a month without running. Looking strong again in Slovakia 4-days two weeks ahead of WOC. Will run sprint, long and relay in Hungary. Living together with national team member Anders Nordberg. www.amhausken.com |

Info/Biography | One of the top runners for almost ten years, and finally got his individual gold in WOC-middle 2006 in a very emotional moment. His first gold came in the relay in Japan 2005, and he has bronze medals as well. Now an important factor in the relayteam of Kristiansand, but in the late 90\'s he spent several years in Stockholm (Lidingö), and he also won Tiomila with Bækkelaget in 2001 and with Kristiansand 2008. Has been plagued with an injury the last years, 2006 it was a toe and in 2007 some calf trouble has restricted his running. Works part-time as an engineer. Married to canadian national team member Sandy Hott Johansen (Smith) Theyr have one son, Aksel, born June 2007 and expecting another child in october 2009.. After the birth of their child they both scrapped the name Johansen and Holger is now only known as Holger Hott. Troubled with injuries and illness during 2008, missed EOC in May and was left ou of the Norwegian WOC-team. Back in 09 when he qualified for the Norwegian WOC-team after a great long distance in the qualification. Running middle and first leg in the relay at WOC 2009. Carl Waaler Kaas
Club | NTNUI (NOR) |
Born place | Oslo (NOR) |
Info/Biography | Was on his way for a regular place in the national team in 2006, which included a bronze medal in the EOC-relay. But for the rest of 2006 and for 2007 his body did not responded well to his training and his progress stopped. Back for his WOC-debut in 2008, getting a strong 11th place after replacing Olav Lundanes on short notice. Looking to have taken a big step in 2009, and got his forst WC-victory on home soil in Oslo in June. Physically strong runner, but surprisingly losing out in the qualification for the long distance at WOC 2009. |
