Moved to Sweden in 1999 to improve his orienteering. Stayed in Borlänge, Hedemora and Gothenburg as a teacher. Became one of the world stars by winning the WOC-gold in sprint in Switzerland 2003. Surprised many with his bronze on the middle distance in 2006. Living and working in Denmark. 12th at the WOC sprint 2008, then anchoring the relay team of Great Britain to a sensational gold medal. Retired from international orienteering ahead of 2009 season. Nominated for Orienteering Achievement of the year 2008 after oming out of the forest as the winner in one of the most special thrillers the orienteering world has seen: The 2008 WOC Relay.
