Surprise winner at the WOC 2012 middle distance in Switzerland - and impressed just as much with another medal in the long distance. Coming to WOC with a Top 10 position as a goal - and a 9th place as his best WOC results yet - it was a big surprise for everybody including Bertuks himself that he beat everybody this sunny day on the border between Switzerland and France. In 2013 he struggled all year - but somehow managed to be back with a medal in the long distance.
