Her mother also competed in WOC from 1987-1991. She started orienteering in her childhood and experienced JWOC 5 times. Very good technique in Middle distance, and she got gold medal in middle both at All Japan Championships and All Japan Student Championships. This is her 2nd trial for WOC. She also played badminton in her teens.
