Originally from Russia, but changed citizenship to Italy. Won the European Champs for Russia over the middle distance in 2002, and later took a bronze medal for Italy at the World Orienteering Championships in Hungary in 2009 at the long distance. Also finished second in the overall World Cup in 2002.
