Profile: Holger Hott
CountryNorway
InfoOne of the top runners for almost ten years, and finally got his individual gold in WOC-middle 2006 in a very emotional moment. His first gold came in the relay in Japan 2005, and he has bronze medals as well. Now an important factor in the relayteam of Kristiansand, but in the late 90's he spent several years in Stockholm (Lidingö), and he also won Tiomila with Bækkelaget in 2001 and with Kristiansand 2008. Has been plagued with an injury the last years, 2006 it was a toe and in 2007 some calf trouble has restricted his running. Works part-time as an engineer. Married to canadian national team member Sandy Hott Johansen (Smith) and they have one son, Aksel, born June 2007. After the birth of their child they both scrapped the name Johansen and Holger is now only known as Holger Hott. Troubled with injuries and illness during 2008 and missed the EOC in May. In late June he was also omitted from the Norwegian WOC-squad. Not running WC in Sweden in July either. Still determined to race until WOC in Trondheim 2010. www.h-o-t-t.com
