Andreas is the two years older brother of Matthias Kyburz. Unlike the later his establishment in the senior class was not that smashing but steady and lead to his first WOC selection in 2013. At his first WOC he reached the 11th place in sprint 2013 in Finland. 2014 he was 5th in the WOC middle distance. But already in the World Cup Final middle distance in his first senior season in 2009 he finished 7th, and also 7th in EOC 2010 over the sprint distance in his second senior season in Bulgaria.
