Came as an outsider for a podium place, but beat everybody after being extremely well prepared for the day, and could celebrate as world champion at the World Championships in Venice, Italy in 2015. Continued the Italy championships with a silver medal at the first ever mixed Sprint Relay in Trento. Showed at the World Cup final in Switzerland in October that he has improved also in the forest, finishing third in the middle distance race.
